dont sleep. not till i need to.
dont give up. never.
dont break. i'll break when i die.
but wait. i will live forever.
i am unbreakable.

you can be my black kate moss tonight
so the other day at the gym, there was this black guy who looked like a bodybuilder. he was maybe 5'5 or 5'6, fucken jacked but in a good way, his proportions were near perfect and his back was crazy, did i mention he was black?
anyway.. i was watching him doing single-arm bicep curls on a cable pulley (arm positioned like he was doing a bicep pose) while i was listening to Kanye West - Stronger (A-Trak remix), HIGHLY recommended for working out. at that moment, i felt i watching a music video. watching this buff ass dude curl weight, with a confident, calm, collected look on his face. it was his facial expression that wow'd me. he was conquering the weight without showing pain, but rather showing enjoyment. symbolically it felt as though all of his problems were in his hands, and he was conquering them with pure confidence, intensity, enjoyment, control. it was a very symbolic moment.. why see obstacles in a negative way, when they can be opportunities to get better, harder, faster, stronger? i guess work is never over. why?
because...

duhh!

raising the bar
so master chy(f) and i went on a classified mission ordered by section three ONI of the UNSC to find a destroy the covenant battleship Relentless Sorrow before it could reach the earth. jk, i read too many halo books..
HOWEVER we did elucidate the secrets of the universe while we were flying on mission beach around midnight after we arrived late for the steve aoki concert. it was all gravy though, i dont think either of us missed out, especially when you discover the fundamental truths and subtleties of the universe, human nature and happiness. haha. in the future, i hope to publish our findings as it may contribute to the greater population.
as for now, i realized i am trying to boost my baseline happiness to level that exceeds imagination. for now lets remind ourselves of the happy times in our lives and contribute back to others in a positive way. n doing it not for myself but for others. word up doc.

you should feel what i feel
so i've been running a lot this summer, and i definitely forgot how much i miss it so. the best part is always the post-run high. it is something that must be experienced, and everyone experiences it differently. Let me walk you through what I'm talking about...
First step, you need to run. not run your ass off like you're running away from an angry rhino for 2 hrs. (although this will work). for everyone it's different.. it could take 5min to 50min to get your highs. you will feel it after your run or during, if you know what to look for.. the surefire way to know that you're high while running is that you may feel goosebumps and a second wind especially if you're listening to music. (ime)
for me, the runner's high is one magical experience:: a clarity of mind, an elevated sense of the surroundings, peace of mind, calmness, the feeling of taking on the world, omnipotence, limitless optimism, imagination, hope, love, truth, and ecstasy all meshed together harmoniously in a way that can only be felt, words falter in explaining this phenomena.
(nothing makes the high better than watching the sunset. especially if the sun is dipping into the ocean.)
all my problems and fears suddenly SEEM to disappear for that small fragment in time. a huge burden is lifted off of my shoulders. no longer am i crippled by my weaknesses. BUT most importantly, what i have come to realize after getting high countless times, is that fear and problems do not exist. they are simply constructs within my mind, which negatively affect my worldly perceptions.
with that in mind, since i started running again i am sensing a change in my personality, outlook, and dreams (body fat too). i am slowly starting to build even more courage and motivation to pursue my goals and dreams: to become successful overall by contributing to the world in a positive way. i want to become a doctor, possible researcher too. not sure what kind yet, but neurosurgery and brain research sounds delicious. also possibly own my own health organization/company and have some sort of philanthropic endeavor. (also to write a book, feed the poor, kiss babies, win the nobel peace prize, cure cancer, stop global warming and the like. you get the point) in order to do this, i know i will need continuous hope. hope that i will succeed and not give up but keep plowing through everything that life throws at me.
i will continue use running to help inspire, motivate, give hope to myself to continue pursuing my life goals in order to positively give back to my family, friends and the world. (and the universe).
if you cannot relate to this post, or think that it's too cliche. i'm sorry you had to read this far. BUT if you can relate to the runner's high or anything in this post, then great!
You should feel what I feel, you should take what I take.
